Valentine's Day is a celebration of love and lovers. The roots of Valentine's Day goes back to ancient times, when people paid honor to the Roman God of Fertility. This was known as the Feast of Lupercalia, and was celebrated even then on February 14th. The traditions of Valentine's Day are broad and many. It is a time to exchange cards or small gifts. Chocolates and jewelry are the big hits of this holiday as is romantic dinners. Often it is a perfect day for a proposal. But how to choose that perfect ring? Diamond? Sapphire? Pearls? Other gemstone? The choices are limited only by your imagination. Although Diamonds are the traditional stones for engagement rings, many brides now choose to personalize their rings with different gemstones. Here at Gems-is-Me I have made it easy for you to customize your ring. Just look in the Semi-Mount section of my listings and choose a mounting. Then, give me a call and let me know what you would like as a center stone. I will quote you the price for the completed ring. If you don’t find the perfect ring in that section, just call and let me know what you would like. I have many mountings that are not listed and I can usually help you put together that “perfect” ring.
